What is Women in IT Career Day?

Women in IT Career Day consists of 8 intensive hours filled with speeches, debates, workshops, and speed mentoring, as well as a solid dose of knowledge, motivation, and inspiration. Our guests will include top women leaders of the Polish IT industry and experts on motivation and development. This year, we have prepared two paths for you:

RESTART involves workshops and panel discussions dedicated to women who are at the beginning of their journey to change their professional lives and enter IT.

UP:GREAT is for women who have been in the industry for years and are wondering how to climb to the top.

The war in Ukraine must not go unnoticed at the Women in IT Career Day. We want to include female colleagues from Ukraine in our community and show them that they can put this difficult time to good use for their development into technology.

Therefore, the panel discussions on the main stage will be translated into Ukrainian, and we are planning a dedicated path for Ukrainian women – which will include workshops, lectures, speed mentoring and recruitment meetings.

I want to thank everyone for a great event. To the ladies who are thinking about a career change, I would like to say that I’m also in this process. And the first step was joining CIONET, where I’ve been working for three days. I never thought I would make it to such a high-tech professional environment. I must admit that after many webinars with rather meagre content, I didn’t have high expectations, so I was very positively surprised :); the ladies managed to do the virtual equivalent of an actual work day/career day. There was everything except for superficial leaflets and unhealthy candy :).
